So this is your first date with the woman you’ve been dreaming about. Are you ready? Sure you are (add sarcastic voice here), as ready as a teenager about to face his first day of his high school life.

Worry no more! Here are some sure fire tips on dating that even the most clueless guy can follow.

1) Never sport the “out of office” look. Be presentable as possible. First impressions last. Remember how you studied very hard for that class you had in college because the professor in that class scared the heck out of you on the first day of the semester? Same principle.

2) Be on time. Women absolutely hate tardy guys. Better be the one waiting than the girl waiting for you. Its a major turn off to have to wait for a man.

3) Plan your date. Most girls hate a date without any direction. Tell her an idea of your “itinerary”. But it does not have to be strictly followed, allow the girl to provide inputs on where to go, what to do, etcetera. Make your date plans “interactive” so to speak.

4) Never dominate the conversation, encourage her to talk, and you yourself, you have to open up. Listen to what she is saying, she is dropping hints on what her interest are, and stuff about her that you might find interesting too. But be careful, don’t ask too many questions. Most women are irritated with men who asks too much. It’s supposed to be a date, not an interrogation session!
